Cotton T-Shirt / Re-Spun
With its distinctive melange colorway that’s the result of recycling our own cutting waste and an accent back seam, the Cotton T-Shirt / Re-Spun makes the process visible in the final garment.
Together, 25% recycled black Supima cotton and 25% recycled white Supima cotton from our Cotton T-Shirt production, and 50% white organic cotton result in a distinctive melange colorway that represents its composition: Re-Spun Grey. The heavy-weight fabric at 200 g/m2 is complemented by 2x2 ribs for a relaxed look and feel. The accent back seam emerges from optimizing how the pattern is cut to reduce waste, again reflecting the production process and turning it into a design feature.

Choose the Cotton T-Shirt / Re-Spun if you want the recycled construction to be visible: one melange Re-Spun Grey colorway and an accent back seam. For the 100% Supima classic or other colors, choose the Cotton T-Shirt.
It is all cotton: 50% recycled Supima from our own cutting waste and 50% organic cotton for strength, knit as a 200 g/m² jersey with a 2x2 rib. The melange Re-Spun Grey and accent back seam leave the recycling process visible.
Not in this construction. The Cotton T-Shirt / Re-Spun uses recycled Supima, whose staples stay comparatively long after shredding, blended with organic cotton for added strength.
Every garment is made only after you order it. This allows us to produce only what's needed while offering either one of 24 standard sizes or a custom size generated from a few simple details, all at the same price.
If you order a standard size, you can return it within 14 days. Custom garments are made specifically for you and can't be returned, but they're covered by our Free Remake Guarantee once per product group. If the fit isn't right on your first order, we'll remake it free of charge within 2 months.
Made from 50 percent recycled Supima cotton sourced directly from our own production. Even with a made to order model, small fabric remnants are unavoidable. Instead of passing them on, we collected nearly a year’s worth of cutting waste, shredded it with our partner, and spun it back into new yarn. The result is a durable, high quality T-Shirt where the recycling process is not hidden but built into the story of the garment itself.
The seam detail on the back came from optimizing how the pattern is cut to reduce waste, again reflecting the production process and turning it into a design feature.
The final fabric is composed of 50% recycled Supima cotton from our own production waste and 50% organic cotton. Supima cotton’s extra-long staples ensure supreme quality even after recycling.
By blending 25% recycled black Supima cotton with 25% recycled white Supima cotton and 50% white organic cotton, we created a distinctive melange colorway that represents its composition, Re-Spun Grey.
We blend 25% recycled black Supima cotton and 25% recycled white Supima cotton with 50% white organic cotton to add strength. This also results in the unique melange color, a direct representation of the production process.
Our first fully owned factory, SON Supply represents a new chapter for Son of a Tailor – a space where craftsmanship meets control. Based in Santo Tirso, it’s where our Supima T-shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies, and zip hoodies come to life.
Every Son of a Tailor garment is carefully inspected by hand before it leaves our production floor. Our team checks each piece for fit accuracy, finishing, and overall quality, ensuring you receive exactly what you ordered, and nothing less.
Unlike most clothing brands, we manage not only our production but also our logistics, meaning your garments travel as quickly as possible from our hands to yours.
In 2022, we established SON Supply, our own production facility in Santo Tirso, Portugal. Today, over 55% of our garments are made there, with the rest produced by a tightly knit community of trusted artisans across the country.
Whether you’re ordering your first T-shirt or you’ve been with us for years, we take the time to make sure you get exactly what you need. If something isn’t right, we fix it. Our team is easy to reach and empowered to help.
