Son of a Tailor will only engage in lobbying or public affairs activities that are intended to contribute to a positive impact on society and/or the environment. We do not engage in lobbying that prioritises narrow commercial interests at the expense of broader societal wellbeing, human rights, or environmental sustainability. Where lobbying concerns trade or industry matters, our positions must remain compatible with responsible business conduct and sustainable development.
Our positions are always based on reliable and, where possible, scientifically grounded data, and are aligned with our commitments to responsible business conduct and human rights.
Son of a Tailor does not provide political donations or in-kind contributions to political parties, candidates, or campaigns. We do not engage in bribery, corruption, or undue influence of any kind. All lobbying activities follow strict rules on anti-corruption and comply with applicable legislation.
When we engage in policy dialogues or industry communities relevant to legislation or political decisions, we do so grounded in our purpose and values. We will only engage in activities that contribute to positive social and environmental development, in line with B Corp standards and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
In politically relevant dialogues, we commit to:
When we are members of, or collaborate with, organisations that engage in lobbying on our behalf, we assess whether their positions align with this policy. If a lobbying position taken by an intermediary organisation differs from our values, we work actively to influence alignment. Where misalignment persists, we will publicly disclose our own position and define clear “red lines” for continued engagement. If misalignment cannot be resolved, we will end the relationship.
Our approach to responsible lobbying is guided by and consistent with the B Lab Standards and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These frameworks inform our assessment of which policy positions and advocacy activities are appropriate for Son of a Tailor to support or pursue.
Our lobbying activities are overseen by senior management. This policy is reviewed annually and integrated into our governance, training, and decision-making processes. We monitor risks of non-compliance on an ongoing basis.
Stakeholders may raise concerns about our lobbying activities at any time through our grievance mechanism. All enquiries are handled confidentially and without risk of retaliation.
This policy has been reviewed and formally approved by the Board of Directors on 18 June 2026.
